An eight-year-old girl received an electric shock near a bus stop on Marata Street in St. Petersburg. This was announced on Sunday, July 20, by the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"An eight—year-old girl, being on Marat Street, received an electric shock, holding a metal fence with one hand and an information pole with the other," the UK Telegram channel clarified.

The specialists who arrived at the scene found that a coffee stand was adjacent to the fence. The site has been de-energized, and the power supply source is being checked. The investigators examined the scene together.

The incident is being investigated under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").

On July 12, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 16-year-old boy boarded a train and received an electric shock from the contact network at Kozulka station. It was reported that the victim was taken to a medical facility, he is receiving qualified assistance.
