The Moldovan parliament accused the ruling party of bringing the country to decline

Moldova's ruling Action and Solidarity (PAS) party has brought the country to a terrifying decline in all areas over the four years of governing the country. This was announced on July 20 by Marina Tauber, a member of parliament from the Pobeda opposition bloc.

"The scale of the decline that the Yellows have brought to Moldova is simply appalling. One in three Moldovans lives below the poverty line, and last year was a record low birth rate," Tauber wrote on her Telegram channel.

The parliamentarian claims that Moldovans' spending on medical treatment has increased by 80%, the cost of essential goods has increased by 75%, medicines have risen in price by 50%, and electricity and heating prices have tripled. According to the MP, over 240,000 people have left the country since 2020.

Tauber stressed that at the same time, the authorities continue to "promise mythical mountains of gold," but in reality they are only "selling off the country in parts," leaving "empty villages and workshops, lifeless fields, chaos and destruction."

On the same day, Tauber stated that the Pobeda opposition bloc was facing political reprisals ordered by the Moldovan authorities. She stressed her willingness to fight in the courts, on the streets and in international organizations to prevent the destruction of democracy. According to her, the bloc has the huge support of the people.

The day before, the Central Election Commission of Moldova did not allow the Victory bloc to participate in the parliamentary elections. The representative of the association, Vasily Bolya, expressed his intention to appeal the decision in court. Later, the leader of the faction, Ilan Shor, called the reasons for the decision of the Central Election Commission absurd.
