A fire broke out in a wooden church in Germany, located in the city of Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The fire was eliminated only in the morning. This was reported by the BILD newspaper on July 20.
"According to a representative of the volunteer fire brigade of the mountain city, the fire was eliminated in a few hours. Information about the causes and damage [of the fire] has not yet been received," the publication says.
At the moment, checks are being carried out on the incident. The church is cordoned off.
Probably, we are talking about the Church of the Holy Spirit, the oldest wooden church preserved in Europe.
Earlier, on July 17, Reuters reported that 50 people were killed due to a fire in a shopping mall in eastern Iran. According to the agency, videos have spread on social networks showing that the object that caught fire was five stories high.
