A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the Southern Group of Forces liberated the settlement of Belaya Gora in the DPR. As a result of the group's offensive actions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 165 militants, a tank, three armored fighting vehicles, six vehicles and an artillery piece. Five ammunition depots and a material depot were also destroyed.

At the same time, the units of the North and Center groups improved their positions, and the Vostok group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three air defense brigades in the areas of the settlements of Orekhov, Malaya Tokmachka, Zaporizhia region, Antonovka, Sadovoye and Belozerka, Kherson region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, aviation, attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), artillery and missile forces of the Russian Army hit a Ukrainian fuel infrastructure facility used in the interests of the Armed Forces, a drone assembly plant, as well as enemy temporary deployment points in 148 districts.

The Air Defense Forces shot down two guided aerial bombs, four multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) HIMARS made in the USA and Vampire made in the Czech Republic, as well as 364 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, during the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 664 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 71,066 UAVs, 619 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,277 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,577 MLRS combat vehicles, 27,593 field artillery and mortars, 38,459 units of special military vehicles.
