In Magadan, a 55-year-old woman was injured as a result of telephone fraud. She lost more than 1.5 million rubles.
According to the victim, in one of the messengers she received a message allegedly from the head. The source warned that law enforcement officers would contact her. A few minutes later, Magadan received a call from the "security forces", who stated that suspicious transactions had been registered on the woman's accounts. This is reported by IA MagadanMedia.
The victim agreed to transfer her savings, as well as credit funds, to a "secure" account. The criminal case was initiated under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud").
In Balashikha, Moscow region, a 58-year-old woman gave more than 47 million rubles to fraudsters.
