The police of the German city of Stuttgart shot dead a 44-year-old man who fired from the window of his house at passers-by and threatened the police with a weapon. This was reported by the Tagesspiegel newspaper on July 20.

It is reported that the police entered the shooter's apartment, but he threatened the officers with a weapon. Employees of the Criminal Police Department were forced to open fire to kill, the man died of his wounds on the spot.

During the search, an empty pistol was seized from the shooter, but it is not yet known whether the man fired from it.

No injuries were reported.

Earlier, on July 13, two shootings occurred in the US state of Kentucky. The incident became known after a statement from the local police, who reported an injured employee and a fugitive suspect. He was later found dead at the Richmond Road Baptist Church along with the injured. According to the governor of the state, Andy Beshear, two people were killed in the shooting at the church.
