Fighting between Druze and Bedouins has stopped in the south of Syria in Essaouida. This was announced on July 16 by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Middle Eastern state, Noureddin Al-Bab.

"After active efforts by the Interior Ministry to implement the ceasefire agreement and deploy its forces in the northern and western districts of Suwayda governorate, the city of Suwayda was evacuated from all tribal fighters, and clashes in residential areas stopped," the SANA news agency quoted him as saying.

On July 19, the press service of the Syrian President of the transitional period, Ahmed al-Sharaa, announced his order to immediately impose a ceasefire in the province of Al-Suwayda. It was clarified that he also warned against any violation of this decision, as this "would entail the necessary legal measures."
