A criminal case has been opened into the overturning of a truck with children in the Gunibsky district of Dagestan. This was reported on July 19 in the press service of the Republican Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"A criminal case has been opened into a traffic accident on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of life and health safety")," the Telegram channel says.

It was established that on the afternoon of July 19, the driver of the UAZ truck lost control and allowed the exit from the roadway with further overturning of the car. As a result, 18 children, two adults and the driver were injured.

The circumstances of the accident are currently being determined.

A truck with children overturned earlier in the day near the village of Salta. Later, the republican Ministry of Health reported that three victims, including one child, had serious injuries.
