The Ministry of Internal Affairs listed the algorithm of actions when hacking a personal account by scammers

A person who was deceived by scammers and gave them his personal data has a "golden hour" to minimize the consequences. On July 19, the Department for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation warned about the algorithm of actions.

"It is worth taking the following steps: promptly change the password, access code to the banking service, freeze bank cards and accounts, promptly contact the bank at the number indicated on the bank card or the official website, inform them about the call or message — dictate to them the phone number of the attackers," the department said in a Telegram channel.

Next, the bank will independently take measures to block the account, reissue the cards and block the attacker's number.
