Eight people were killed and 15 injured when a bus overturned on the highway between the cities of Firuzabad and Kevar in the southern Iranian province of Fars. This was announced on July 19 by the head of the ambulance service of the region, Masoud Abed.

"This incident occurred today at 11:05 a.m. As a result, eight people were killed and 15 were seriously injured," he was quoted as saying on the IRNA Telegram channel.

A high-alert regime has been introduced at Namazi, Rajai and Muslimin hospitals in Shiraz, as well as Gham Hospital in Firuzabad, to ensure uninterrupted hospitalization of the injured. The Crisis Operations Command and the Medical Monitoring Center coordinate the provision of assistance to the victims.

On July 16, 27 people were injured in Turkey when a bus collided with a passenger car. It was clarified that the bus left the road and crashed into the concrete fence of the overpass. As a result of the accident, the bus driver was trapped in transport, his condition is assessed as serious.
