A US resident died from his injuries after being dragged into a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine due to a chain around his neck. This was reported on July 19 by ABC News channel.

"A man who was seriously injured after being dragged into an MRI machine with a metal chain on him has died," the article says.

It is noted that the incident occurred at the Westbury medical facility in New York State. The American was seriously injured, and despite the efforts of doctors, he died.

On April 16, it became known that in Moscow, a patient of one of the private clinics died after plastic surgery on her stomach. A criminal case was opened on this fact on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, resulting in death").
