The Polish military took fighter jets into the sky, allegedly against the background of the alleged activity of Russian aviation. This was announced on July 19 by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces (AF).

"In accordance with current procedures, the operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces has deployed all the forces and means at his disposal. The fighter pairs on duty have been alerted, and the ground—based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been put on the highest level of combat readiness," the message on the social network X (formerly. Twitter).

Four hours later, the Polish side informed about the cessation of military aviation flights in the country's airspace due to a decrease in the threat level. The military stressed that they continue to monitor the situation on the territory of Ukraine and are ready to ensure the security of Poland.

Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh said on July 10 that the Baltic Sea had become an internal sea of NATO. According to him, the need to ensure security allegedly stems from Russia's malevolent actions.
