During the day, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia freed 167 courtyards in Yakutia from water. This was announced on Saturday, July 19, by the regional department of the department.

"During the day, 167 courtyards were cleared of water, including 10 residential buildings and one road section in six settlements," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a Telegram channel.

In the Oymyakon district, rescuers are helping the population carry out and transport property, transport livestock and deliver groceries. 239 courtyards remain flooded, including 84 residential buildings and one road section.

"Aviators and rescuers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are involved in providing assistance to the population, in total, over 200 specialists and 60 pieces of equipment from various departments and organizations are involved from the Ministry of Emergency Situations," the ministry added.

Roman Vilfand, the scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, said the day before that the powerful floods that are observed in Yakutia and Transbaikalia are not typical for these regions. According to the expert, such a flood situation is quite rare in Transbaikalia. As Roman Vilfand emphasized, difficult climatic conditions have been observed in the region since March 2025.
