Servicemen of the 810th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation rescued a dog left by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to die in the forest of the Kursk border region without water and food. The Russian military shared with Izvestia the details about the rescue and the condition of the animal.

According to him, he found the dog during a rest stop. The animal was tied to a tree and severely exhausted during the time it was alone in the forest without water and food.

"Well, I untied him, I thought he was going to run away, but he jumped into the car and didn't go anywhere. I thought, "Well, then he's coming with me." A little more and he would have died because he was in terrible condition," he said.

The fighter fattened, washed and released the found animal. The dog does not show aggression towards anyone except cats, who also live with military personnel. But the fighters are protecting the cat and her little kittens from a new friend, a dog named Dog.

A guardsman of the 37th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 36th army of the Vostok group, who liberated the village of Voskresenka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) with the call sign Dan, told Izvestia on July 16 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were fleeing when Russian units attacked, abandoning their positions.
