A state of emergency has been declared in the village of Nizhnyaya Katukhovka in the Novousmansky district of the Voronezh Region due to bad weather. This was announced on July 18 by the press service of the regional government.

"An emergency regime has been introduced in the village," TASS quoted a government representative as saying.

In addition, the press service clarified that the extent of the damage caused by the disaster is currently being established.

The Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region reported on the Telegram channel that heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, and wind gusts up to 18 m/s are expected in the Voronezh Region from July 18 to 20.

Emergency mode was introduced in Chita on July 17 after floods. It is specified that the governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Alexander Osipov, instructed to organize the work of assessment commissions after the water begins to leave the sites.
