The Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of the Russian military in the special operation zone

On July 18, the Russian Ministry of Defense spoke about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of the senior mechanic of the maintenance department of the Guard support platoon, Private Yuri Naumov, who, as part of the crew of a rocket artillery battery, carried out a combat mission to destroy the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), conducting counter-battery warfare in one of the difficult sectors of the front.

Thus, as a result of enemy shelling, the power plant of one of the combat vehicles failed to work, which is why the crew with the combat vehicle could not leave the firing position on their own. Having assessed the situation, Naumov reacted quickly and moved towards the malfunctioning combat vehicle. Being under heavy artillery fire from the AFU artillery, the soldier was able to organize and carry out an emergency evacuation of a combat vehicle and personnel.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense noted the actions of the operator of the anti-tank division of the Guard, Sergeant Sergei Shevyakov, who, along with the crew, carried out a combat mission to provide artillery support to Russian units in one of the tank-hazardous road areas. He ensured the continuous conduct of combat operations, determined the firing installations, conducted uninterrupted and accurate fire at the specified coordinates.

At the end of the combat work, the crew received a command to change positions. Before the movement began, a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone appeared in the sky, after which enemy artillery shells began to arrive. After reporting on the situation at the control center, Shevyakov moved to the reserve deployment line so as not to lead the enemy drone to other vehicles of his unit. During the movement, the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed by means of air defense (air defense) and the artillery shelling stopped.

The calculation of the self-propelled anti-tank missile system successfully completed an anti-fire maneuver and occupied an unplanned deployment line to work on enemy targets from which two infantry fighting vehicles and up to 10 enemy personnel were destroyed by accurate ATGM shots.
