Gardens and Flowers festival grounds continue to be decorated in Moscow

The grounds of the Gardens and Flowers festival have begun to be decorated in Moscow. Green compositions are appearing on streets, boulevards, and bridges, the organizers of the event said.

Business takes part in the design of the city: some entrepreneurs independently ordered projects from landscape designers.

Lubyanka Square became one of the locations of the festival, where about 300 trees were planted: pines, mountain ash, maples. They also created a surface that imitates the water surface and decor in the form of sailing yachts.

There is a French garden in front of the monument to Maxim Gorky on Tverskaya Zastava Square. The main focus of the designers was on the stalls, which form into an unusual pattern, and for the decoration of the flower beds they chose ampel flowers of calibraho. Such landscape compositions were popular in Russia in the 19th century. They are characterized by symmetry, straight paths, a large number of plants and herbs.

In total, about 70 flower locations will appear in the capital during the warm season. More than 500 thousand plants will be used for their decoration.
