Sky News Arabia reported on US pressure on Israel to resolve the conflict in Syria

The United States is putting pressure on Israel to stabilize the situation in the province of Al-Suwayda in southern Syria. This was reported on July 18 by Sky News Arabia TV channel, citing sources.

"Washington continues to support [Syrian President for the transitional period Ahmed] al-Sharaa and puts pressure on Israel," the TV channel notes.

It is clarified that Washington also insists that Tel Aviv stop interfering in the situation and allow the security forces of the Syrian transitional government to enter the province of Essaouida.

A meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Damascus is scheduled for the evening of July 17.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on July 16 that the parties involved in the Syrian conflict had agreed on concrete steps to resolve it. He stressed that the United States expects all the countries involved in the conflict to fulfill their obligations.
