The fifth anniversary Baltic Rally Motorcycle Festival started in Vyborg on July 18. The festival began with the traditional "Immortal Regiment" in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"This year we moved from Vladivostok to Vyborg. In every city, motorcyclists from Novosibirsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, and Yakutsk joined us," said Konstantin Latysh, a participant in the festival.

The bikers lined up in a single column to head to Paskhin Field. The opening ceremony of the Peace Motorcycle Park memorial was held there.

Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad Region, spoke at the event, noting that those present not only discover the heroic history of the Great Patriotic War, but also talk about its tragedy.

Festival participants from all over Russia brought capsules with earth from hero cities, cities of military glory and labor valor. These capsules will be buried at the memorial steles.

The column of the Night Wolves motorcycle club opened the motorcycle season in Moscow on April 26 with a large-scale parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory. The parade was attended not only by bikers from the capital and the Moscow region, but also by motorcyclists from other regions of Russia.
