The damage caused by pro-Palestinian activists entering the Royal Air Force (RAF) base in Brize Norton amounted to 7 million pounds ($9.4 million). This was reported on July 18 by Sky News TV channel with reference to the court.
"The damage caused to the [Voyager-based Brize Norton] aircraft amounted to about £7 million," the publication notes.
According to the TV channel, four detainees after entering the airfield will be awaiting trial until 2027.
On June 20, Reuters reported that British pro-Palestinian activists from the Palestine Action group infiltrated a Royal Air Force base in Central England and damaged two military aircraft. It was noted that they doused the Voyager aircraft with red paint, and also drove up on electric scooters to the turbine of the aircraft and affected it with a burner.
