The first scheduled flight from the new Gelendzhik Airport landed at Sheremetyevo

Sheremetyevo Airport in the capital has accepted the first scheduled flight from the new Gelendzhik Airport. This was announced on Friday, July 18, by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The flight was performed on an aircraft in the Gzhel livery. The aircraft received this coloring in 2018, it was timed to coincide with the 95th anniversary of Aeroflot.

Earlier, passengers and crew of the first flight to Gelendzhik from the capital told Izvestia about their impressions of the flight. Andrey Krakhmalev, the commander of the aircraft crew, noted that the flight required special preparation, as the routes to the resort city had not been operated for a long time.

This week, an air harbor that has no analogues in the Russian Federation will receive its first passengers as the resort city prepares to meet them.

On the same day, Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratiev announced that Gelendzhik Airport would be able to increase passenger traffic at least twice in 2026. He noted that the passengers who arrived on the first flight from Moscow expressed positive emotions from the flight and their meeting at the airport.
