The head of Kuban announced the growth of tourist flow to Gelendzhik after the opening of the airport

Gelendzhik Airport will be able to increase passenger traffic at least twice in 2026. This was announced on July 18 by the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev.

"We are truly returning to the life that we once had. I would like to remind you that by the end of 2021, Gelendzhik Airport received more than a million passengers. I am sure that this is not the limit at all. This year, of course, we probably won't be able to raise this bar higher, but next year there will be at least twice as many passengers," said the head of the region.

He noted that the passengers who arrived on the first flight from Moscow expressed positive emotions from the flight and their meeting at the airport.

This week, an air harbor that has no analogues in the Russian Federation will receive its first passengers as the resort city prepares to meet them.

Earlier that day, Gelendzhik Airport accepted the first flight from Moscow. The Airbus A321 aircraft of the Russian airline Aeroflot landed in the airport of the resort city.
