Chinese President Xi Jinping intends to arrange a trilateral meeting in China with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. This was reported on July 18 by The Times newspaper.

"A series of trade agreements between Washington and China have changed President Trump's hostility towards Beijing and fueled speculation that he will be invited to meet with President Xi and President Putin at a summit in September," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, there is a possibility of a meeting between the three leaders, but it is noted that Trump would prefer to organize it in the United States.

"If President Trump visits China and takes part in the September 3 parade, it will send a powerful positive signal to the world. The image of Chinese, Russian and American leaders standing together can become a powerful message of peace and stability," Chinese political analyst Jin Cangrong said in the article.

On July 11, Bloomberg, citing US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, reported that Trump and Xi Jinping plan to meet for talks. It was clarified that the dates of the meeting of the leaders of the two states are currently being coordinated.

In February, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Putin plans to visit China in August and September. According to him, the Russian leader's visit will be timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japanese militarism and the end of World War II.
