Soviet and Russian director Yuri Kara was an unusual and bright man. Actor and producer Sergey Zhigunov told about this on Friday, July 18.

"Yura was an unusual person, undoubtedly, because he had a gift for brightness, he felt the sharpness of the topic. It's rare. He had extremely successful paintings. Especially at the beginning of his career. He understood the audience, which is also rare," the artist said in an interview with aif.ru .

Zhigunov added that Kara had managed to do quite a lot, and at the same time he always wanted more.

"He was typing all the time, as if expanding the topic, multiplying it somehow inside himself. He was such a restless man. Yura lived a bright life, left a mark. The Kingdom of heaven," he concluded.

Kara died at the age of 70 on July 17, RT reports. Apart from "The Master and Margarita" (1994), the director's most famous films were "Tomorrow was War" (1987) and "Thieves in Law" (1988).

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Kara's family and friends, noting the director's distinctive and generous talent, according to the website. kp.ru .

Julia, the director's daughter, stated 360.ru that his father's death was unexpected, he had grandiose creative plans, he managed to finish the script of a new film.

Film director Yuri Kara may be buried on July 22 at the Troekurovsky cemetery, the Moscow City News Agency reports, citing the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.
