The Federal Antimonopoly Service controls the cost of air tickets on routes to Gelendzhik and back, the agency reported on July 18.

"The service has included the relevant routes in the weekly monitoring.
In connection with information published in the media, in order to prevent unjustified increases in the cost of air tickets, the service has included routes to Gelendzhik (and back) in the weekly monitoring of 150 tourist routes, which is organized jointly with relevant departments," the FAS said in a statement.

The service monitors the cost of air tickets in economy class for domestic flights. If a significant increase in their cost is detected, the FAS of Russia analyzes the expenses and incomes of airlines separately for each destination.

In case of signs of abuse of the dominant position by airlines, including unjustified price increases, the FAS of Russia will promptly take measures to respond.
