Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced his intention to expand the network of children's sports and patriotic tent camps, opened jointly with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The opening of sports and patriotic tent camps is timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory. They are located at the Alabino training ground, in the Patriot Park in Kubinka, the rescue center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations near Noginsk and are named after outstanding commanders of the Great Patriotic War: Zhukov, Rokossovsky and Vasilevsky.

"The children and their parents asked to expand the network of such camps, and we will definitely do it," Sobyanin wrote on the Telegram channel.

Currently, the fourth shift has begun in the camps. The students live in specially equipped army-type tents, go through the basics of military field training, fire and rescue operations, medicine, and learn to navigate the terrain.

"There are good living conditions and five meals a day. And judging by the teenagers' reviews, the camp is not only comfortable, but also very interesting," the mayor noted.

Earlier, the mayor of Moscow said that there are more than 400 military-patriotic clubs in Moscow schools and colleges, where more than 20 thousand people are engaged. The number of such associations has doubled this academic year, Sobyanin noted.
