Electricity supply was restored in the Zaporizhia region after the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the infrastructure. This was announced on Friday, July 18, by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.

"The power supply has been fully restored throughout the territory of the Zaporizhia region," Balitsky wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also thanked the operational services for their well-coordinated work and the residents of the region for their patience and understanding.

"When the enemy does not give up trying to destroy our peaceful life, targeting social infrastructure facilities, it is very important to support each other," the governor added.

On the same day, Balitsky reported that nine settlements in the Zaporizhia region were left without electricity after a Ukrainian drone strike on high-voltage equipment. Melitopol, Energodar, as well as Vasilyevsky, Akimovsky, Chernigov, Primorsky, Priazovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Kamensk-Dneprovsky municipal districts remained de-energized.
