The Tashir Foundation, owned by businessman Samvel Karapetyan, has filed a lawsuit against the Yerevan Municipality. This was announced on July 18 by the businessman's lawyer Vardan Aloyan.

According to Sputnik Armenia, the foundation demands that the dismantling of posters with the entrepreneur's photo from the Dalma Garden Mall be declared illegal.

"In the future, we also plan to demand compensation from the mayor's office," Aloyan said.

Karapetyan's detention became known on June 18. He was charged with calling for the seizure of power in Armenia, after which he was arrested for two months.

On July 14, the entrepreneur announced the creation of a new political force in Armenia. He also stressed that he respects all those who are fighting against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team.
