The Kremlin recalled WhatsApp's obligation to comply with Russian laws
WhatsApp messenger (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) must comply with Russian laws. This was announced on July 18 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Like all services, of course, there are certain responsibilities in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation. All laws must be implemented," Peskov said at a briefing.
