Traffic police reported a decrease in accidents on the roads in Moscow

According to the results of the first half of 2025 in Moscow, the number of accidents related to vehicle collisions decreased by 4.7% compared to the same period last year. The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced this in its Telegram channel on July 18.

So, from January to June, 1,660 accidents related to car collisions occurred in the capital. In such incidents, 25 people died and 2,038 were injured. The number of dead and injured decreased by 45.7% and 2.3%, respectively.

During the same period, as previously reported by the State Traffic Inspectorate, the number of accidents involving taxi cars in Moscow decreased by 5.5%, and the number of dead and injured in such accidents decreased by 35% and 3.2%, respectively.

In addition, the capital recorded a decrease in the number of road accidents involving personal mobility aids (IMS) by 59.8% compared to the same period last year.
