The FCS told about the correct payment of scrap collection for a car to individuals
When importing a wheeled vehicle manufactured in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and located within the framework of trade turnover, the recycling fee is calculated using a special formula. This was reported to Izvestia on July 18 by the Federal Customs Service (FCS).
"The formula applies to vehicles placed under the customs procedure of release for domestic consumption (using a declaration of goods) and issued by customs authorities in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union at the rates of import customs duties of the Single Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union," the agency explained.
The FCS reported that after the import of the car into Russia, it is necessary to obtain a certificate of safety of the vehicle structure (SBCTS). Then you should issue an electronic passport of the vehicle, which will have the status "incomplete" until the date of payment of the recycling fee.
In addition, it is important to prepare a set of documents, complete the calculation of the disposal fee and deposit funds into the payer's single personal account to pay for it. All documents must be submitted to the customs authority at the place of residence no later than the fifth business day from the moment the vehicle actually crosses the state border of Russia.
The agency also warned against fraudsters offering illegal schemes for registration of vehicles.
On July 3, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry and Trade Vladimir Gutenev said that a possible increase in scrap collection for individuals for cars with a capacity of over 160 hp is a measure aimed at creating equal conditions for competition. However, its introduction will not arouse such enthusiasm, since an increase in the cost of imported cars cannot be considered as an unconditional benefit.
