In Naro-Fominsk, the driver lost control of the car and ran into a tree, as a result of which four minor passengers died on the spot. This was announced on July 18 by the Prosecutor's office of the Moscow region.

"The Naro-Fominsk City Court has handed down a verdict in the criminal case against 22-year-old Azizjon Narziev. He was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle that does not have the right to drive, which negligently caused the death of two or more persons")," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that on June 5, 2024, Narziev, without having a driver's license, got behind the wheel of a passenger car. According to the press service of the department, he lost control and ran into a tree. As a result of the accident, four minors died on the spot, and another girl was seriously injured.

The court sentenced the man to 12 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony, with the deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of three years. In addition, the victims' claims for compensation totaling over 2.8 million rubles have been satisfied.

According to the agency, the verdict has not yet entered into force.

Earlier, on July 16, investigators opened a criminal case into an accident that killed seven people. The accident occurred on the 290th km of the federal highway K17 in the Novosibirsk region. It was specified that a procedural decision would be made based on the results of the audit.
