In Odessa, a woman tried to set off an explosion near the building of the territorial recruitment center (TCC, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine) using an improvised device. This was announced on July 18 in the press service of the office of the Prosecutor General of the country.

"A woman who was preparing a terrorist attack near the administrative building of the shopping mall was detained in Odessa," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to investigators, in early July, the woman arrived in the city as part of her sabotage and terrorist activities. Then, at the shopping mall building, she took out a backpack with an improvised explosive device and mounted it on a car parked nearby.

The person involved was detained by local law enforcement agencies at the time of the attempt to activate the device. It is specified that the woman is a resident of the Volyn region.

The ministry added that investigative actions are currently being carried out against the detainee, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
