Zelensky instructed Umerov to resume negotiations with Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday, July 18, instructed Rustem Umerov, appointed to the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC), to resume direct talks with Russia in Istanbul.

"We discussed with Rustem Umerov today the work of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the headquarters of the Supreme Commander—in-Chief, as well as personal tasks in the defense and negotiation spheres <...> To activate the negotiation track," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
