At Sheremetyevo, passengers are waiting for the first flight to Gelendzhik Airport
Passengers at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport are preparing to fly to Gelendzhik, whose flights started on Friday, July 18, for the first time in several years. The footage is published by Izvestia.
Sheremetyevo-B is one of the largest terminals in the country and one of the busiest, especially in summer. And this is the place where the first flight departs to the new Gelendzhik airport, a special flight that attracts a lot of attention," said correspondent Viktor Sineok.
One of the tourists, the Grigorov family, shared that as soon as the flights appeared, they immediately chose this destination and purchased tickets.
"We were just looking for ways to get to the sea, to some kind. We were thinking of going by car, and then we opened flights — we immediately bought tickets," said a tourist from the Grigorov family.
At Gelendzhik airport, information about the arrival of a plane from the capital appeared on the scoreboard at that time. It's the only flight on the scoreboard right now.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the opening of the airport in Gelendzhik caused a stir among tourists. Tickets for the first and next flights were sold out after the start of sales. Tour operators note that the demand for bookings in Gelendzhik has increased by 30% in the last week alone.
