A snake attacked a resident of the Tyumen region while fishing

In the Tyumen region, a snake attacked a local resident while fishing. The man was urgently hospitalized, the press service of the regional Department of Health reported on Friday, July 18.

The incident occurred on the shore of a reservoir in the Vagai district. The fisherman noticed the snake bite only a couple of hours later, when his leg was swollen and red. He immediately went to the emergency department of the Regional Hospital No. 9 in the village of Vagai.

The man underwent additional laboratory tests to monitor the dynamics of his condition and prevent possible complications, writes <url> news agency.

According to the medical institution, the victim was fishing in light sports shoes and ignored precautions in an area with long grass, where there is a high probability of encountering snakes.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg, a girl was stung by a venomous scorpion, which she and her family accidentally brought back from vacation. The victim was vacationing in Tajikistan with relatives.
