The European Union (EU) has begun work on the 19th package of sanctions against Russia. This was announced on July 18 by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, his words are quoted on the website of the country's foreign ministry.
"Tsakhkna has confirmed that work on the next, 19th package of sanctions has already begun," the Estonian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
At the same time, according to the Estonian Foreign Minister, the EU "will not limit itself to half measures", each package introduced will be strengthened to put more pressure on the Russian side.
Earlier in the day, the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, announced that the permanent representatives of the EU countries had agreed on the 18th package of sanctions against Russia. According to Reuters, the restrictions will affect the operation of the Nord Stream gas pipelines and lowering the ceiling on oil prices.
