Merz called for clarifying the mechanism of arms supplies to Ukraine, including Patriot

Discussions with the United States on the supply of military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), including Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), in which Germany participates, should be more specific. This was announced on July 17 by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

"The United States is ready to provide Ukraine with weapons funded by European partners. Germany intends to make a significant contribution to this. Now we need to discuss the details with our partners as soon as possible. First of all, we need clarity," he said during his joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

In addition, he added that the defense ministers are currently discussing the details of how to provide Patriot to Kiev in a short time.
