At least four people died and more than 1.3 thousand people were evacuated as a result of heavy rains that hit South Korea. This was reported on July 17 by the Yonhap news Agency, citing the central headquarters for emergency Situations and security.

"Four people were killed and two injured as a result of heavy rains <...> more than 1.3 thousand residents were evacuated from their homes," the text of the publication says.

It is specified that due to the increase in damage from bad weather, the level of weather danger has been raised "to the highest. In addition, according to the agency, all available departments in the region have been mobilized for a full-scale response to the consequences of the disaster.

On the same day, Yonhap reported that as a result of a landslide caused by heavy rains, two people were trapped under rubble in Chuncheon Province. Later it became known about the deaths of two people and the evacuation of at least 1,000 people. In addition, the agency noted that the rain front showed signs of moving north.
