Calculations of the Molniya UAV destroyed dugouts with personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Molniya aircraft type of the separate anti-tank artillery battalion of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed camouflaged reinforced dugouts with personnel and armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the special operation zone at night. This was announced on July 18 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

With the help of aerial reconnaissance, the military of the Russian Armed Forces revealed an accumulation of manpower and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The received coordinates were transmitted to the UAV command post, the operator of which established communication with the drones. The technical staff prepared the vehicles for departure and carried out the launch. The drones, equipped with high-explosive fragmentation charges, accurately hit all identified targets.

"We are currently working on the Three Axes howitzer (towed 155 mm M777 howitzer). — Ed.). Long-range aerial reconnaissance has revealed where the caponier is located. We worked well on the goal. <...> We are no longer working on manpower [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine], but on the positions themselves," said the operator of the Molniya UAV with the call sign Jaeger.

Due to its tactical and technical characteristics, the Lightning strike drone is capable of striking at a greater distance than an FPV drone and carrying a warhead weighing about 6 kg. The plastic Zipper frame allows you to protect all necessary equipment from moisture and cover a distance of tens of kilometers.

Thanks to intelligence, the personnel of the unit effectively destroys the identified targets. Military personnel of the Zapad group of forces use various combat UAVs daily during the destruction of the enemy in the special operation zone, as well as to support the advancing infantry.

System battle: drones will be able to hold the front on their own

The ease of operation and adaptability of the new UAV complexes will help change the situation on the line of combat contact.
