- The military of the Russian Armed Forces told about the liberation of Popov Yar and the work of the T-72B3M tank
On July 18, soldiers of the Center group of Forces told about the liberation of the village of Popov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the Konstantinovsky direction and the work of the T-72B3M tank.
Heavy aerial bombs are now being used on enemy positions in this sector of the front, pushing through the enemy's defenses, advancing towards Konstantinovka. The Grad MLRS crew is working on the fortifications, and the crew of the T-72B3M tank is leaving for direct fire.
"The tank is heading to the position at full speed, a signal has been received that it is necessary to help advance our infantry, to work out," Alexander Safiulin, a correspondent for Izvestia, reported from the scene.
While the gunner adjusts the firing on the pillars of the building, the driver drives off and returns a few minutes later. Such maneuvers are necessary to confuse the enemy, who attacks in response.
"The cannon was warmed up with the first shot, they fired, and the other nine pieces were put down accurately. We hit the houses where the enemy infantry was sitting, and there was another house where the "poultry houses" were sitting," Artyom Perlovich, the gunner and operator of the T—72 B3M tank of the 102nd regiment of the 150th division of the Center group, told about the process.
On July 17, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of the settlements of Popov Yar in the DPR and Degtyarnoye in the Kharkiv region by Russian military personnel. In the DPR, the Russian Armed Forces eliminated an Israeli-made RADA radar station, three armored vehicles, including an American-made HMMWV armored car and five vehicles. It was noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 420 militants.
