Air defense systems destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on approach to Moscow. This was announced on July 17 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The Defense Ministry's air defense destroyed a drone flying to Moscow," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.
