In the Syrian province of Suwayd, Bedouins resumed fighting after the truce announced the day before. This was reported by Al Jazeera TV channel on Thursday, July 17.

"The Syrian Bedouins have launched a new offensive in Suwayda against Druze militants, despite the ceasefire agreement that was announced last night," the article says.

The Bedouin military commander said that the truce applies only to government forces, not to them. He added that the militants are seeking to free the Bedouins, whom Druze armed groups have detained in recent days.

On July 16, it was reported that a ceasefire agreement had been reached in the Syrian province of Suwayda between the Syrian armed forces and armed formations. It was noted that additional checkpoints have been deployed in the city of Essaouida.
