Nina Kutina, a Russian woman who spent two weeks in a cave in India with her two daughters, said she and her children were not in danger while living there.

"They (the daughters. — Ed.) did not feel bad. They were very happy. They were swimming in the waterfall, they had a very nice place to sleep. We paint, we sculpt from clay, we eat well," the woman said in the video provided by the ANI agency.

According to her, she and her children stayed in the Gokarna cave because of their love of nature. Kutina stated that the family had a lot of experience in the jungle and that they were not bothered by the snakes living in the cave.

It is specified that her visa expired not in 2017, but later. Since then, she and her children have traveled to four countries and returned to India. The woman stated that she would have continued to live in the country if the visa had been valid.

Kutina's ex-husband, Dror Goldstein, said that their relationship ended a long time ago, but he wants to participate in the upbringing of his daughters. The man intends to seek separate custody so that the children can spend time with both parents.

He added that he lives in two countries, Israel and India, and helps his family financially. Goldstein noted that at the last meeting he left the groceries and handed Nina a new bank card so that she could withdraw money if necessary.

"I saw my daughters, I saw that they were safe. I also bought a lot of food for them so they could last for a while. I also gave her a new card because she lost the old one," the man said.

Goldstein's lawyer confirmed that the children were well taken care of, and their father arrived in India as soon as he learned about the incident. The human rights activist believes that the deportation of a woman with children to Russia must be stopped.

The Press Trust of India agency reported on July 12 that Indian police rescued a woman and two children from Russia from the Gokarna cave. The Russians lived in the cave for almost two weeks. It is indicated that the woman came to India on a business visa and is passionate about Indian spiritual traditions.
