Raising pensions every three months is an ambitious, but currently unrealistic task. This was stated by State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab on Thursday, July 17.

The politician noted that this is quite difficult, because it is necessary to review the budget every time, and adjustments are usually made as of the beginning of the year.

"That is, last time we increased pensions starting from January 1, 2025. But information about the real level of inflation from Rosstat was received only at the end of January, and on behalf of the president, payments were indexed," she recalled in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

According to the parliamentarian, payments will now be adjusted on February 1 and April 1.

She stressed that the possibility of reviewing the budget every three months should be treated with great caution.
