The Kaiyi brand has no plans to leave the Russian car market. This was reported in the press service of the Chinese brand, commenting on media publications, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on July 17.

The representative office of Kaiyi stated that the production of all models for the Russian market is carried out at the Avtotor plant in the Kaliningrad region. The official distributor of the brand provides support to the dealer network, which currently includes 62 dealer enterprises.

Earlier that day, the Auto Mail portal reported that the production of Kaiyi cars at Avtotor would be curtailed, as the brand's model range turned out to be "not high enough in terms of consumer properties even for the Russian market."

On July 17, it was reported that the AGR Holding plant in Kaluga (formerly Volkswagen) completed the preparation of the welding workshop for the launch of full-cycle production of cars of the new Russian brand Tenet.
