British support for their government's policy towards Ukraine is currently declining. This was announced on July 17 in the results of the annual public opinion poll conducted by the British Foreign Policy Group (BFPG) analytical center.

"The survey shows an alarming decline in public support for Ukraine," the study says.

It is noted that Kiev's support was high during the first two years of the conflict. However, due to the emergence of other crises and general fatigue from the conflict, a slight drop in support has become inevitable. Therefore, the authors of the study note, if this trend continues, the British government's obligations to Ukraine will be in jeopardy.

It is specified that 41% of Britons support the country's authorities in this matter, while 37% are against it. Another 19% adhere to a neutral position, while 4% said they did not know the answer.

According to the researchers, the interest and activity of young Britons in Ukraine is particularly low at the moment. Only 17% of Britons aged 18-25 consider support for Ukraine to be a top priority for the UK, compared with 46% among people over 66.

On July 6, it was reported that more than half of UK residents believe that the course of the government of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, is wrong. It is clarified that 48% of respondents indicated that Starmer lacks "clear priorities", and 63% believe that the current prime minister does not share their values.
