Singapore is once again recognized as the most expensive city in the world for rich people

For the third year in a row, Singapore has been recognized as the most expensive city in the world for wealthy people to live in. This was reported on July 17 in a report by the Swiss banking group Julius Baer.

To compile the rating, experts took into account the price index for 20 goods and services used by wealthy citizens. Among them: expensive cars, jewelry, lawyers, and private school tuition. A survey of 360 dollar millionaires was also taken into account.

"According to preliminary data, the number of dollar millionaires in Asia increased by 5% last year, to 855,000," the report says.

It is noted that London took the second place in the ranking, and Hong Kong took the third. Monaco and Zurich are also among the five most expensive cities. They are followed by Shanghai, Dubai, New York, Paris and Milan.

The sales volume in this segment increased 2.5 times.

Analysts at Intermark Urban Real Estate reported on April 28 that Moscow was among the top five capitals in the world in terms of the cost per square meter of premium housing. She rose from 18th to 5th place in the ranking, surpassing even such expensive cities in the world as London, Paris and Shanghai.
