- The government will allocate more than 6 billion rubles to airports in the south and central part of the Russian Federation
The Russian government will allocate over 6 billion rubles to airports in the south and central part of the country, where temporary flight restrictions currently remain. This was announced on July 17 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a cabinet meeting.
According to him, about 27 billion rubles have already been allocated to reimburse part of the costs to the air harbors. Mishustin noted that, first of all, the funds were transferred to pay for labor, preserve teams, and finance the development of airfield infrastructure, including in Krasnodar, Anapa, Belgorod, and Simferopol.
"We will additionally allocate more than 6 billion rubles to [airports] today. Thanks to such measures, these airports remain operational and ready to resume flights as soon as the situation with flight conditions changes," the Prime Minister stressed.
He also pointed out the need to ensure the stability of the Russian aviation complex so that air transportation would be convenient and safe for people.
"And, what is very important, not to lose qualified personnel, to ensure the employment of specialists who work in it," Mishustin added.
On June 15, the Russian Prime Minister announced that the government would allocate 765 billion rubles over six years for the construction of domestic aircraft. According to him, the Russian Federation has all the necessary resources for a fundamental breakthrough in the field of aircraft construction.
