Moscow will regard the forces of the "coalition of the willing" in Ukraine as legitimate targets for the Russian Federation. This was announced on July 17 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We will consider the so—called multinational forces as legitimate military targets," she said during a briefing.

The diplomat added that Moscow has repeatedly pointed out the "absolute unacceptability" of deploying the armed forces of other states under any flag in Ukraine. This can be regarded as preparation for a foreign intervention, she stressed.
